The 2021 Mother’s Milk Shiraz recently made headlines when it was named in the Top 100 Wines 2023 for the influential, US-based Wine Spectator. The only Australian wine to make the list, it follows its inclusion the previous year – making it one of only three wines internationally to go ‘back to back’.

As with recent vintages, the 2021 release is all about enjoyment and great drinkability in its youth. The palate delivers plenty of vibrant dark cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate with a hint of spice and soft tannin, with 12 months in French oak hogsheads adding further depth and complexity. Another delicious release of Mother’s Milk Shiraz that will be embraced by the many fans of this wine. 

“94 Points. 2021 was a fine vintage in the Barossa. There is no doubt that this wine will improve but damn it’s delicious now. Deep plum and cherry fruits, plenty of spicy depth with hints of licorice, dark chocolate and earth. It’s plush yet has crunch and cadence as it races off with memories of maraschino cherries, spice and roasting meats. 14.5% alc. Drink: 2023 – 2028.
